Mother's Day Card

Here's the mother's day card I did for 2017.  I even did a black and grey colored flower one for Halloween or basically to just tell someone to fuck off.  You ask if I've sent any of the latter?  No...not yet, but I've thought about it a TON of times! 

This turned out so great! 

Been trying to get back in the posting mode. It's such a nice way for me to preserve memories.  

Our poor pool.....

The pool definitely doesn't look like this now!  In fact, it has been the most full I've seen it in a long time! 

Here is a cute picture of AB in the bottom of the pool.  We had a leak at the main drain which is what the guys in the above picture are working on. 

You can see by the dirt rings "in front" of Allen in this picture, that it was a slow leak.

Happy to report we fixed it and spent more on filling the pool with water from a truck than worrying about our well running dry.  

It sure looks pretty now! Will have to get a pic up for comparison.

So believe it or not, when I turned 21, there was a huge snow storm in Towson that shut down the university for a few days.  We had over 2 feet of snow!  This year...we didn't have THAT much snow, but boy did we have the "threat" of a big snow!  You can thank the forecasters for that. They really haven't gotten the weather right in a while.  Not unless it is 6-12 hours in advance. BUT--I still got a nice birthday gift.  A snow day for my bird!

 

Of course I had to make it complete by making a fire for her! 

It was a nice day. I'm hoping the wild weather swings we've had all summer point to a snowy winter!  I hope to "fish my wish" for this winter!

Part 2 March in Deep Creek

Here are a few more shots of March in Deep Creek. Check out the icicles that appear on the back of the house! 

 

It is amazing to me that this happens almost every year.  The water channels down one icicle and then it gets thicker and thicker and touches the roof below.  So so neat! 

 

These icicles are off the back porch of the house.  Against the blue sky they just look so pretty!

Hailey starts her Pom season today.  I'm happy, yet I'm sad.  It is the official end to the summer.  She has about two weeks before Michael goes to school.  At least she'll have Poms to keep herself occupied. 

March in Deep Creek!

To help beat the heat, I thought I share some pics of March in Deep Creek.  Man I love it up there!  When Pom season ends, I can slip away a bit easier and not have to worry about carpooling for Poms.

I just loved the way this snow covered pine looked against the clear blue ski! What an amazing sight!

Boy oh boy.  Things have been crazy with all the storms we have been having.  First it was the extreme heat and then the rains.  I think we are good for a bit!  Let's hope that the work done in the basement take taken care of all the leaks!

Fun to show you some selfies from Sedona!

While we were in Sedona, I was trying to master the art of the selfie.  It was fun! These are not in order...yet really make me smile looking back on them.

This first one is from Jerome, AZ and the Spirit Room.  The retirees hit this saloon around lunch time and just enjoy the band and dance!  It was the cutest thing!! 

 

This selfie below is when we were at Cellar 433 in Jerome, overlooking the copper mines.  It was really a neat view.  The wine wasn't so great, which surprised Allen and I. 

 

This is a selfie from the Peace Garden we visited.  I was just amazed at how red the clay/ground was.  I think it was accentuated by the cloudy day. 

 

This one is from outside of our hotel room.  Just so beautiful and quiet and majestic. 

 

Here is a selfie at the hotel near our hotel we visited for Happy Hour at sunset.  Just gorgeous.

Back to Sedona...

 

On the first night, we had a later dinner near the hotel and the waiter was just the sweetest!!  

Check out this magnificent sunset on the rocks!!!  Spectacular!! 

 

This was at a hotel that was below us.  We went and had happy hour there and it was just so peaceful.  Gave us a good chance to just sit and chat with each other.  Something we hadn't done enough and realized we needed to do more of.
